Through the Web Design using Weebly assignment, I gained valuable skills in website design and layout. I learned to apply basic design principles like balance, contrast, alignment, and proximity to create a visually appealing and functional website. For example, I used contrast in color choices to highlight important information, making the text stand out against the background for better readability. I also focused on alignment by ensuring that text and images were properly aligned to maintain a clean and organized layout. Overall, I enjoyed the process of creating a site from scratch, but I found the learning curve of Weebly’s features a bit challenging at times. However, this project helped me understand the importance of user-friendly navigation and responsive design. In the future, website design skills will be useful in any career where digital presence is important, whether it’s creating portfolios, organizing content, or even for marketing purposes. Here is the QR code that links to my website:

QR codes offer many creative possibilities in the classroom. One idea I find interesting is using QR codes on assignment handouts or posters that link to supplementary resources, such as instructional videos, interactive quizzes, or additional reading material. For instance, in a history class, a QR code on a lecture handout could lead students to a short video that explains the historical context of the topic they’re studying. This would allow for a more dynamic and interactive learning experience and help students engage with content in multiple ways. By using QR codes, teachers can provide quick access to digital resources that complement traditional learning methods, making it easier for students to explore topics further.

Case Study: A teacher uses a grading software to track students' grades and performance but, due to a lack of privacy settings, accidentally shares this information with other teachers who are not involved in the students' education. The teacher then realizes that the system was not as secure as it seemed, and there is a potential risk of breaching student privacy.
Ethical Solution: To address this situation, I would first ensure that all educators and staff are trained on the ethical and legal responsibilities surrounding student data privacy. This includes setting proper permissions and restricting access to student records to only those who need them for educational purposes. Additionally, I would recommend that the teacher immediately report the incident to the appropriate authorities and take corrective measures, such as updating the system’s security settings and communicating the mistake to students and parents. This is important not only to maintain trust but also to comply with privacy laws like FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act). The ethical solution focuses on transparency, accountability, and preventing future breaches.
